Head of Choral
Brighton College is seeking a talented choral director and teacher who can communicate to young people a love of choral singing and an enthusiasm for the subject, extending well beyond the classroom. This is a new role, bringing additional resources to a Music Department that already has three academic teachers and respective Heads of Keyboard, Strings, WW/Brass/Percussion and Singing.
As well as directing a number of the choirs, the successful candidate will build on the existing choral ensemble provision and will take responsibility for the overall culture of choral music at the College, including working with the Prep and Pre-Prep. The post would particularly suit a musician with an excellent track record directing choirs in sacred and secular settings. An ability to accompany on the piano/organ would be advantageous, though is not vital to the appointment.
Deadline for applications: Midday on Friday 24th May 2019.
